🌿 St James to St James Pilgrimage

September 1st–2nd, 2025

Join us on a two-day walking pilgrimage from St James’ Church, Poole Quay, to St James’ Church, Kingston – known as the Cathedral of Purbeck.

📍 Day 1
We’ll set off along the edge of Poole Harbour, take the ferry across to Studland, and walk over Ballard Down into Swanage (approx. 11 miles).
In the evening, we’ll gather to share food and reflection. Pilgrims are welcome to stay overnight in St Mary’s Church, Swanage (bring a sleeping bag!) or catch a bus back to Poole or Wareham if you prefer your own bed.

📍 Day 2
From Swanage, we’ll climb to Durlston and follow the stunning South West Coast Path to St Aldhelm’s Chapel, before turning inland to finish at St James’ Church, Kingston (approx. 11 miles).

This is a pilgrimage not just of footsteps, but of the soul. Come ready to walk, reflect, and share the journey—both outward and inward.
